I present to you an unlimited and original artist, who moves away from the conventional - whatever it is - that sees the beating of time and the vital rhythm in a personal way: Hilda Vidal, for whom expressionism is an internal force, a compass that has marked the way down the paths of bolder creativity.
To walk the gaze by her tactile creations is to undertake a trip by strange places, and to walk by immense avenues in which we can stumble with faces, events, places, seasons, memories and also many surprises. It is thus, before each new figure or space that she makes us visit, the pupil dances with admirations. We arrive at a singular path that may seem familiar and at the same time strange and different. And then we question: are they Silhouettes? Appearances? Realities? Fictions? A Mirage? ... It has the capacity and intelligence to motivate us with a different painting, not only with the look, but with the mind. She brings to the skin what we carry inside, and is able to make with shapes and colors, a portrait of human magma. Within the mystery in which she tames her paintings emerges a poetry that excites the senses. A sort of pure stratum, that gets to shape feelings, facts and experiences. There, in the depths of her creations the word becomes color and form to shudder in every line. A KALEIDOSCOPIC CHARACTER...
The wise use of color is added to these qualities. This, naturally rich, is always just in his fidelity to the real. If we make an x-ray of his pictorial work we will discover that color has an effective role in it. Gathers in the fabric or cardboard the most varied tones, mixing them in an unprecedented way, in the end, give birth to a special magic that catches the pupils. No less central is her brushstroke, her execution. She reaffirms in every pictorial gesture the passion for painting, for painting itself. - Article by Toni Piñeda
